Registration information

Welcome to Winston-Salem Nationals Little League

Please read below before registering:

  1. You must either live or go to school in our boundary. Check www.littleleague.org/LeagueFinder.htm to see which league you can play. Check both residential address and school. Those who are using their school to be eligible to play at the Nationals must print a copy of the 2018 School Enrollment Form and have the Principal sign to verify that the player was enrolled before October 1, 2017. This form can below. Please upload this also, with a birth certificate. Proofs of residency: Two proofs of residency are required for all players using their residence to be eligible to play at the Nationals. Each one must be dated between 2/1/17-2/1/18 and the address must be visible. Please upload these to your player's registration page. If you are unable to upload them, you may bring copies to the evaluations. Here are some examples:
  • Driver's license


  • Voter's registration
  • 

School Records


  • Utility Bills (gas electric, water/sewer, phone, mobile phone, heating, waste disposal)
  • Insurance documents
  • State records


           Don't forget to upload a copy of their birth certificate, also.  If you have uploaded forms in    the past and nothing has changed, you may use those.

  1. Pool Players: Occasionally, teams need an extra player due to not having enough players to field a team for a game. If your player would like the opportunity to play with another team (in the same division), you should check “yes” during the registration process. An email will be sent prior to the game to those that are listed as pool players to determine availability. 
  1. League Age: To determine your player’s ‘league age’, go to http://www.littleleague.org/leagueofficers/Determine_League_Age/League_Age_Calculator.htm
  1. Evaluations will be in February/March 2018. The player will perform several skills to determine their abilities. Board members, coaches, and representatives from the league will be evaluating. This ensures that all teams are evenly assigned. Teams will be assigned soon after and the coach will contact you with team information. Practices usually start mid March. Games start in April and continue until early June. Practices in March are usually 1-2 times a week, depending on the division. T-ball usually practices one day during the week with games on Saturday mornings. Baseball divisions will have one game during the week and one on Saturday. They may also have a practice during the week once games start.
  1. Equipment: The registration fee includes a jersey and baseball cap for each player. The coach will decide on color of pants after jerseys are printed. See the new rules about bats.  We will have bats, catchers’ equipment, and helmets available for those who don’t purchase their own. Each player will need to purchase a baseball glove.
  1. Concession Fee: We require a one-time payment of $25 at registration per family. If you work 4 hours in the concession stand during the season, your fee will be returned to you at the end to the season. Our registration system doesn’t allow us to charge $25 per family. When you register, it will charge you $25 per player. This overcharge will be reimbursed to you later in the season. Let me know if you have questions or if you’d like to volunteer. Volunteering would help avoid paying teenagers to staff the concession stand, so “thanks” in advance!!!
  1. Multiple player discount: There is a $10 discount for the second, third, etc. player.
  1. Registration Fees: If you register before January 31, 2018, you will receive a $10 discount per player. The fee will be $145.00 before 1/31/17 (plus the $25.00 concession fee) to equal $170.00. If you register between February 1-25, the fee will be $155.00 (plus the $25.00 concession fee) to equal $180.00. Late registration starts February 26, adding an additional $10 late fee. So register now!!
  1. Manager/Coaches: We appreciate your willingness to serve!! We are offering a discount of $25.00 to head coaches/managers. You will not see that discount during the registration process because we won't know who is managing until later. Please complete the coaches’ registration on the website. Also, all Managers, Coaches, and parents who wish to be on the field or in the dugout at any time during a game or practice, must complete a 2018 Volunteer form before the season starts. One needs to be completed every year. Managers need to make sure their coaches and any other volunteers complete and turn in a form.

  2. Any new player to the league will get a $10 discount also.  You will need to say "yes" to the question whether you are a new player to receive the discount.  
  3. Softball is the same price. Our softball players will play with Northwest Little League. After you register with us, your information will be sent to them and they will contact you regarding evaluations and team assignments.
